When it comes to the manufacturing industry, and machining in particular, there are a lot of companies out there that may appear on the surface to have the ability to deliver products to your specifications. But very few of those companies offer the attention to detail, personal customer service and sincere interest in having a long lasting partnership. That’s what sets Red Line apart from the rest. Here’s why...
Red Line Engineering is a privately owned and operated business. It started when Randy Johnson, moved his wife and two children from the Bay Area up to a small little town nestled in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. He wanted a peaceful life and a beautiful place to raise his children, and finally he found a town that fit the bill. In 1986 he started with one machine, a manual lathe, operated out of the back of a friend’s machine shop in Auburn. Within five years Randy had created partnerships that would allow him to purchase property closer to home. And by 1991, on the exact day he found out his wife was pregnant with their third child, he opened Red Line Engineering’s doors. Slowly but surely Red Line grew with one man’s strength and tenacity. In 2008, Randy’s eldest son took over operations and continued to grow the business with the like-mind of his father. Which was, and still is, to maintain the best quality and customer service and an enthusiastic positive work environment for the employees. With the successful completion of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality System, Red Line has quickly become an industry leader for precision machining.
Today, Red Line operates twenty-one different machines and services the cryogenic, aerospace and X-Ray technology industries, with hopes of expanding to other vertical markets. Though Red Line continues to expand its business ventures, the humble family still carries the mind-set of living a small town life, and sets utmost importance on supporting the local community through stable jobs (in a difficult economy) and being thankful for the blessings received in life. For this, Red Line partakes in many local philanthropic efforts which help myriad causes, including fundraisers for local schools, donations to individual charities, and support of notable local humanitarians.
Red Line is more than just a machine shop, it’s a modern-day high performance "machine" that operates the old-fashioned way, with a personal touch and concern for each client, to ensure that a long lasting relationship is formed.
